Musician/composer/alto saxophonist Marco Eneidi has been living in exile since November 2004 in Vienna, Austria. After moving to NYC in 1981 from Northern California he began many relationships performing and recording with many of the leading jazz musicians of the time including Cecil Taylor, Bill Dixon, Don Cherry and Denis Charles. In 1987 he formed Botticelli Records and released recordings with William Parker, Glenn Spearman, Peter Broetzmann and Jackson Krall among others.
Since leaving for Europe, Mr. Eneidi has been leading his own groups: The Marco Eneidi/George Graewe Quartet w/ Clayton Thomas and Donald Robinson, ssnaetch-kraeutl-biep and LIPCODIE ENQUKE, as well as performing with Paul Lovens, Han Bennink and Andrew Cyrille.
In Sept. of 2005 he formed the Neu New York/Vienna Institute of Improvised Music, a regular Monday night performace/workshop jam session which has featured many special guests including Ken Vandermark, Michael Zerang and Corey Wilkes.
